[ TERMS ]
Terms of use.
Plain-language terms for the @zenuml/core sequence-diagram library and this website. The library itself is governed by its open-source license.
License
The @zenuml/core library is released under the MIT license (Copyright © 2022 Peng Xiao). You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it in commercial and non-commercial projects, subject to the license text published in the GitHub repository. The MIT license — not this page — is the legally binding document for the software itself: if anything here appears to conflict with it, the license text wins.
Website content
The pages on core.zenuml.com — including the DSL examples, quickstart snippets, and FAQ answers — exist to help you evaluate and use the library. You may quote them with attribution. The code samples shown on this site are provided under the same MIT license as the library, so you can paste them into your own projects, commercial or otherwise, without asking first.
Acceptable use
Use ZenUML lawfully. Do not use the ZenUML name, logo, or marks to imply endorsement you do not have, do not misrepresent modified builds as official releases, and do not present this website's content as your own. Nothing here restricts the rights the MIT license already grants you over the source code.
Third-party services and links
This site links to services we do not operate — GitHub, npm, the Live Editor at app.zenuml.com, the Mermaid documentation, and CDN-hosted resources. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, not by this page. A link from this site is a convenience, not an endorsement of everything a third party does.
No warranty
The software and this website are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Diagrams you generate are your responsibility to review; the maintainers make no promise that rendered output is complete or correct for your use case.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the maintainers and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from use of the library or this site — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — including lost data, lost profits, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where such limits are not allowed, liability is limited to the smallest extent the law permits.
Changes & contact
These plain-language terms may change before public launch and will be replaced with a full legal document. When they change, the updated version will be posted on this page; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Questions about these terms? Email hello@zenuml.com, or open an issue on the GitHub repository if your question is about the library itself.
